When the sun rises and I have gone away,
please forgive me, I was unable to stay.

Thankful by Rebecca Scarf (29th July 2011)
I stare at you and wonder why
when you stare back you start to cry,
then I remember who I am,
that I will never be able to stand
on my own two feet and walk to you,
or do any of the things that you do.
I will never be able to move my body,
but I try so hard to be all i can be.
Nor can I talk and ask about your day,
or reply to the things that you say.
I try to answer you in what ways I can
and I so wish that you could understand,
but I know it's hard and difficult sometimes,
to follow my irratic little signs.
Life is a gift no matter what form,
even when life wanders away from the norm,
You helped me make it and survive,
I'm so thankful to you that i'm alive.

Deep down in the sea, the water is still,
calm as the blood that flows through my veins.
While on the surface it swirls and churns,
with new emotions and feelings.
As the clouds begin to part, so high up in the sky,
anyone can see the sunrise on the horizen,
rippling on my water for the first time.
Bringing such warmth to my tired old sea,
everyone can see how alive I have become
and out on the sand it waits for my touch,
as my waves move back and forth,
bridging the gap between them and us.
The old washed away on the outgoing tide,
while the new comes in waves, again and again,
bringing in new vigor to old forgotten feelings.
The new moon begins to rise again,
to shine fresh rays on my halcyon sea.

Grandad by Rebecca Scarf (done on platform 27/7/11)
This man is here to guide your way,
even though you think he's gone away,
he held you tight when you were young,
sat and listened to the songs you sung,
he wiped away the tears from your eyes
and showed you the stars up in the sky.
That is where he is now, looking down on you
still interested in all that you do,
so feel him around you when you are sad,
or when someone else makes you feel bad.
So when you begin to sigh
grandad will be there to lift you up high.
He is all knowing and all seeing
to remind you that you are a wonderful human being.

Inside by Rebecca Scarf. 24th July 2011
Why can't I make you see
that under my skin and inside my chest
my heart beats the same as yours.
It beats with emotion that you would ridicule,
it beats with fear that you would use.
Why can't I make you see
that inside my chest and under my skin
my heart has a strength, more than you.
A lion would cower at what I can do,
but not you, not yet, not now.
I ache to break out and grab your attention,
to shake you and roar at you and claw at your chest,
so I can see all you hide, just like me.
One day I could, one day I might,
to win this war I wage in my head.
I wish I could make you see

Careful by Rebecca Scarf. 23rd July 2011
What you sow, so shall you reap,
send out bad thoughts and you will weep.
Remember whatever you put out,
you will get back, without a doubt.
If you always try your best to be kind,
love will be returned and you will find;
your life will improve with good things coming your way.
So remember to watch the things that you say,
for ears are always behind the wall,
listening and waiting for you to fall,
they have not yet reached their spiritual awakening,
never giving and only taking,
they have their own lessons to learn,
they are walking this life and taking their turn.
So being kind is always the key,
what you give out comes back, times three.

Imagine you are on a beach,
lying down on warm sand,
the sand runs through your fingers,
while the sun shines down brightly above,
you can feel the warmth of the sun on your body.
The seagulls fly over head,
crying out as they pass over you,
while the sea laps against the sand.
The noise of the waves calm your soul
while the water gently rolls against your feet,
let the worries of the day be taken away with the tide,
while only relaxation is brought in with the waves that touch your feet,
slowly it carries on up through your body,
allowing you to forget your problems and gently let go.
Stay on the beach and drift away...

Like a circle, we go round and round,
death is a birth and birth is a death,
there are always tears of happiness,
there are always tears of sadness,
round we go inside the circle of love.
We say goodbye to someone,
as we say hello to another,
as some arms close, more will open.
Earthly life is a never-ending cycle,
that begins and returns to the great circle,
a cog within a cog of eternal energy,
we can feel love no matter which side
as around the circle we constantly travel.
It allows us to feel together;
allows us all to love ourselves and each other
that little bit more than we ever did before.
The circle links us forever and ever.
( Ensō is a Japanese word meaning "circle" and a concept strongly associated with Zen. Ensō is one of the most common subjects of Japanese calligraphy even though it is a symbol and not a character. It symbolizes the Absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the Universe, and the void)

A single feeling begins to grow,
like a flower it unfolds into the light,
it reaches upwards, spreads and climbs,
until two worlds spark together as one.
We fly together on a journey of love,
where you are always safe,
where angels will surround you,
their wings will envelope you;
and their power builds you up,
and leaves you with the strength
that you never realised you had.
They take away those tired old bonds,
old ties from before that hold you back,
accept this loving thing they do,
thank this action for now you are free
to unfold into the sun and grow,

We had every tree in our grasp, every leaf fresh like spring.
In those summer days we laughed for the first time, in those summer days, we explored life.
The world has turned many times since and spun us around back to back,
and we walked, we ran, we travelled into the now,
across a desert of thirst with no return,
friendship that was then, now just a memory,
