Desert by Rebecca Scarf. (28th August 2011)

When you're alone and crossing the desert,
remember to watch for shifting sands.
Let your heart use your head,
so you can see the way ahead.
When you're alone and night has fallen,
stay safe and warm from those outside.
Don't be fooled by mirages in the sun,
always see with both your eyes,
and only then open your heart.

Innocent by Rebecca Scarf. (28th August 2011)

Pure and innocent soul, speaking with a truth so rare,
sending hugs on stars to those who care.
Spread your wings and fly unchained,
behind you only rainbows remain.
Love is spread by you to others,
all races, all colours, your sisters, your brothers.
Hug them all and never stop,
for you are the shepherd of your flock.
Open your arms, laugh and smile,
dream your dreams and let them run wild.

Snake Charmer by Rebecca Scarf. (28th August 2011)

Snake Charmer, be bold,
play your music for all to hear.
Enchanting and playful, never grow up,
never become that which you arn't.
Charm them, but love them,
hold them in your grasp,
for the power is yours, just yours.
Be wise with this gift,
always stay true to what is inside.
when the time comes, shed old skin,
it's never to late to start again.

Sunshine by Rebecca Scarf. (28th August 2011)

You are sunshine, that fills me with light,
such a beautiful soul, such a wonderful sight.
You light up my soul, like the sun in the sky,
to fly to you, I must fly so very high,
I would do that, I would do it all,
I always trusted you, you won't let me fall.
So stay by my side, and hold my hand,
with you next to me, I know I can
face the world and all my troubles,
when it's you and I, inside our bubble.

Only sometimes by Rebecca Scarf (18th August 2011)

I wish that you still loved me,

I wished you did, I wish you would

I wish that I still loved you,

I wished for us, to the stars above.

You couldn't have meant it,

You couldn't of listened to my tears.

You couldn't have stopped me leaving,

you couldn't of won that way.

I could of given you everything,

I could have, if I'd tried.

I could of treated you better,

I could have, but I was a child.

You hoped for me to thaw, I know

you hoped for me to break.

You hoped for me to cry, my love,

You hoped for me to beg.

It doesn't mean I didn't love you,

It doesn't mean you think of me,

It doesn't mean we'd speak,

it doesn't mean anything, not anymore.

Only sometimes, in my head;

Only sometimes, in my memories;

Only sometimes, in my heart;

Only sometimes, do I think of you.

The Star by Rebecca Scarf (14th August 2011)

The star is alive, like a fire in the sky,
burning with the desire of a thousand wishes.
Lovers sigh, waiting on that call.
Mothers beg, to protect their child.
Fathers hope, to pay the bills.
Children wish, for that new toy.
The star still shines and burns up there,
giving hope and life to all those dreams.
Night after night he shines so strong,
a beacon for the lost and the lonely,
comforting them when all else is cold.
Aged light so old and wise,
like a crack in the sky;
for heaven to shine straight through,
to cover us in a glow of love,
soft and gentle around our hearts.
So send a wish to those you love,
carried forward by the star,
the messenger, comforter and keeper of dreams.

Like a Bird by Rebecca Scarf (12th August 2011)

When the winter comes, birds fly to the sun,
cold wind nipping at their wings.
Against the odds they make their own destiny.
Learn this lesson to make you strong,
when trouble comes you can be like bird,
you can take off and it will never catch you.
Take yourself to sunnier places, away from that
which holds you down and makes you grounded.
Spread your wings and take off to ths sky,
play in the sun and swerve on the wind,
and leave any hardships below, and fly far away.

Wage a war by Rebecca Scarf (12th August 2011)

Sadness and turmoil thunders around your heart,
you must overcome, you must overcome.
It's deep within you to wage a war,
bring it to the surface, bring it forth.
Don't lock it down to the bottom of the sea,
for you can never sail over a whirlpool,
down you will fall to your hidden agony,
while it holds your feet as you try to swim,
You must overcome, you must overcome.
The light within is a flickering flame,
kept aglow by your own power,
wage the war and let us help you,
only trust is all we ask and need,
we will give you it all, the whole world
and all that we can, at your chosen feet.
All you need to do is trust us now,
let love wash over you, through you and around you,
like a wind swirling and changing direction
pushing you forward, on the right path.
Wage the war, you must overcome,
You must overcome.

Little wolf by Rebecca Scarf (5th August 2011)

O little wolf, so scared and alone,
keeping things inside, not letting them be shown.
Sharpen your senses so you can see clear,
be brave against those things that you fear.
Stay in the shadows, until you are ready to pounce,
keep unseen untill you are ready to announce;
That you are stronger than they thought,
you have already won so many of the battles you fought.
Master of the hunt, acquiring what you need,
never give in to them and never conceede.
Pack leader be strong, you lead the way,
once you speak, they will listen to all that you say,
they will cower once you begin to howl,
be brave, there is no way you can fail.
O little wolf, time to run free,
open those eyes and see all you can see.
You own the forests and great wide plains,
stretch your legs, run free and never refrain.

Little flower by Rebecca Scarf (04/08/11)

Why so sad, little tiny flower?

You have time yet to bloom,

the sun has not risen in the sky,

to bring warmth to your cold bones.

Only the rain is falling down

the little droplets of tears,

nourish your soul and help you to flourish.

The cold wind that blows against you,

helps you to stand strong,

when the world wants you to fall down.

Fall down you will, unless you fight,

wage war on the wind and the rain,

survive to see the sun.

You will be pushed, pulled and dumped upon,

but little flower, keep struggling for the light.

It is not meant to be easy,

what is ever easy?

The light that is just beyond reach,

will save you.
